I my self run a set of DSD pedals, I was super lucky to get one of the first batch they have seen many hours of hard racing and not a single problem or hick up. Now on to pedals, Where to start? in the high end pedal world you have some real good choices these days. It would be a real shame to have a kick ass monitor like that and end up having it held back by a lap top.
iRacing is very CPU and GPU dependent and to run with all the eye candy turned up and still get 144FPS or better may not be possible with any lap top. Its not that your lap top wont work but you said you wanted the best gear right off the bat and a lap top is not the best gear for sim racing.
